Laci Poole

Volunteer Coordinator

My name is Laci and I am a life-long resident of Cape Girardeau.

I graduated from SEMO in 2012 with a bachelor’s of General Studies and a minor in Criminal Justice. I also focused on social work and phycology and only have a few short hours to complete before I can also declare those as minors.

I have a background that ranges from working with children to adults in many different settings. I worked for the State of Missouri for five years as an Eligibility Specialist for two years and an Investigator with Children’s Division for the past three years. It is during my time working for the State of Missouri that I saw first-hand, the need for child advocacy and became truly inspired to be a voice for children.

I live with my boyfriend, Glenn and my 15 year old son, who has been nothing but an inspiration for me. I have four dogs and a cat that are like children to me. During my free time, I love spending time with my family as we are often doing the silliest things that keep us laughing for hours.

I am very excited to be working for Voices For Children/CASA and I’m glad to be a part of a team that has assisted in changing the lives of so many children for the better
